This policy explains what personal data Delman Shipping LLC ("Delman", "we", "us") collects through delmanshipping.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have. It covers the website only. Personal data we process under a separate freight contract — shipper and consignee details on transport documents, for example — is governed by that contract and by the transport and customs rules that apply to the shipment.

1. Who we are

Delman Shipping LLC is a freight forwarding and logistics company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is the controller of the personal data described here.

For any question about this policy or about your data, use the contact details above and mark your message for the attention of the data protection contact.

2. What we collect

We only collect what you type into a form on this site. We do not buy personal data, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

  • Quote requests (quote form) — your name, company, email address, phone number, and the shipment details you provide: mode of transport, origin, destination, ready date, cargo description, weight, number of packages, whether the cargo is dangerous goods, and any free-text message.
  • Contact enquiries (contact form) — your name, email address and message.
  • Job applications (careers form) — your name, email address, phone number, the role you are applying for, your message, and any CV you link to. If you email a CV instead, we receive whatever that document contains.
  • Newsletter — the email address you submit.
  • Server and network logs — like any website, requests to delmanshipping.com are logged by our hosting provider and by Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site. These logs typically include IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested and a timestamp, and are used for security, abuse prevention and diagnostics.

Please do not send us sensitive personal data — health information, government ID numbers, or payment card details — through the website forms. If a shipment genuinely requires such information, we will tell you a secure way to provide it.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To answer you — to prepare a quotation, respond to an enquiry or assess a job application. This is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to perform one.
  • To provide the service — to arrange, document and clear the freight you ask us to move.
  • To comply with the law — customs, aviation, dangerous goods, sanctions screening, tax and accounting obligations in the UAE and in the countries your cargo passes through.
  • For our legitimate business interests — keeping the site secure, preventing spam and fraud, keeping records of enquiries, and improving our services.
  • With your consent — the newsletter, and keeping a speculative CV on file. You can withdraw consent at any time; every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. We share it only where it is needed to do the job you asked us to do, or where the law requires it:

  • Web3Forms — the service that delivers this website's form submissions to our inbox. When you submit a form, its contents pass through web3forms.com.
  • Carriers and handling agents — airlines, shipping lines, road hauliers, ground handlers and warehouse operators involved in your shipment.
  • Overseas agents — our partner offices and network agents at origin or destination.
  • Authorities — customs, aviation and other regulators, where a declaration or approval requires it.
  • Professional advisers — auditors, insurers and lawyers, where relevant and under a duty of confidence.
  • Hosting and infrastructure — our web host and Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site.

5. International transfers

Freight forwarding is international by nature. To move your cargo we routinely send shipment details — which may include the names and contact details of shippers and consignees — to agents, carriers and authorities in the origin and destination countries. Some of our service providers, including Web3Forms and Cloudflare, process data outside the UAE. Where we transfer personal data abroad we do so because it is necessary to perform the contract or to comply with a legal obligation, and we take reasonable steps to ensure it stays protected.

6. How long we keep it

  • Quote requests and enquiries — kept while we deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we have a record of what was discussed.
  • Shipment and commercial records — kept for the periods required by UAE tax, customs and commercial law.
  • Job applications — kept for the recruitment process. With your agreement we may keep your CV on file for future openings; tell us at any time if you would rather we deleted it.
  • Newsletter — until you unsubscribe.
  • Server logs — kept for a short period for security and diagnostics.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. We restrict access to enquiry and application data to the staff who need it. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please use judgement about what you send us through a web form.

8. Cookies and tracking

This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. It does not run Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or any advertising or social media tracking pixel, and it does not store cookies or browser storage of its own to identify you.

Some third-party components used on the site may set their own cookies or receive your IP address as a normal part of serving content:

  • Cloudflare — sits in front of the site for delivery and security, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie.
  • Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com.
  • Google Maps — the map embedded on the contact page is served by Google and is subject to Google's own privacy policy.
  • jsDelivr — the interactive globe on the network page loads its 3D library from this open-source CDN.
  • Chat assistant — the chat widget on the home page sends the messages you type to our assistant service in order to reply. Do not enter confidential or sensitive information into the chat.
  • Track & trace — the "Track Shipment" button opens track-trace.com, an independent third-party site with its own privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Because the site sets no analytics or advertising cookies, blocking them will not affect how it works.

9. Your rights

Subject to the conditions and exemptions in the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) — and, where it applies to you, the UK/EU GDPR — you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
  • delete data we no longer have a reason to keep;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • transfer your data to another provider, where that right applies;
  • withdraw consent you previously gave, such as for the newsletter.

Email info@delmanshipping.com and we will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the competent data protection authority.

10. Children

This website is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Links to other sites

This site links to third-party websites, including track-trace.com and our social media profiles. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices — please read their policies before giving them your data.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services, our website or the law changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always shows the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
