FTL and LTL — what they mean

Road freight is priced much like its sea equivalent. Full Truck Load (FTL) is a whole vehicle dedicated to your shipment — usually the choice for larger loads, fragile cargo you'd rather not have double-handled, or a move on a tight clock. Less than Truck Load (LTL) consolidates several customers' goods on one vehicle, so a smaller consignment carries only its share of the cost. Which fits comes down to volume, urgency and how much handling the cargo can take.

The Gulf Cooperation Council — Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain — is joined by an extensive road network, which makes overland transport a practical alternative to short-sea or air for regional moves. Every cross-border leg needs the right paperwork and customs formalities at the frontier, and getting the documentation ready in advance is what keeps a truck moving rather than parked at a border post. Because we also handle the customs clearance, the road leg and the border formalities are coordinated by one team.

Road as the first and last mile

Most shipments touch the road at both ends. Road feeder services connect the port and airport to the warehouse and the final destination — container haulage from Jebel Ali, expedited trucking that feeds air freight and time-critical AOG movements, and last-mile delivery to the door.
